Arfing Dog Take Stuff Training Guide

(1) Practice the Code and Action.

The code: "Take" or "Drop."

The action: Hold a treat in your right hand, with your thumb pointing towards the dog.

(2) Practice the Process and Method.

Use an object that has a strong scent or is associated with you.

Hold the object in your right hand and transmit the code to the dog while shaking it to stimulate their desire for it.

Repeat this process until the dog learns to respond correctly.

Reward them when they successfully take or drop the object.

If your Arfing Dog is not very active, use a ball, tennis ball, or soft toy as substitutes. Throw these objects back and forth to encourage them to chase after them and strengthen their connection bond by placing treats inside.

Throw-and-Catch Training:

Place your Arfing Dog on your left side.

When they throw an object 10 meters away, wait for it to stop before giving them a command using verbal cues like "Take" or "Drop."

If they don't go get it, guide them there by repeating commands until they do pick up an item.

As soon as they hold onto something, give another command followed by praise if done correctly.

Ensure during training that not only are you quick but also accurate when throwing items back at you from different distances starting from close then far apart.

Deliver-the-Treats Training:

Begin with having your Arfing Dog sit calmly while holding out an item at arm's length (around 10 meters).

Move back into position on their right side once again before guiding them over using verbal cues like "Go Get It!"

After picking up an item successfully bring it back and have them sit on their left side again before transmitting more commands such as taking something off of me (or dropping).

Give positive reinforcement if successful otherwise try guiding gently without disturbing what's already been achieved so far; even though practice may vary depending upon how much patience we have got together - let us know if there's anything else we can do!
