seven rainbow fish, native to the waters around Sulawesi Island to the Philippines and Ryukyu Islands. It is also known as the "flower hanging" fish. The body of an adult seven rainbow fish is oval in shape and flat on both sides, with a small head, a small mouth and sharp teeth that cannot move. The dorsal fin and anal fin have sharp spines, but none of the fins extend beyond the body. The chest fin is triangular in shape and the tail fin is almost circular or inwardly concave. Its body coloration is purple-blue with yellowish tones towards the rear end, white markings below its eyes extending down towards its upper jaw. The base of its back fins are black with blue edges that become thicker towards their base.
